Mental Health Training provided by Nori Pennisi, EdD

Mental Performance Specialist and Coaching Educator

A varsity tennis player and Morehead-Cain Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Nori earned her bachelor’s degree with a dual major in Physical Education and Psychology. She also earned her master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science and doctoral degree in Kinesiology, both specializing in sport psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Nori is a practicing mental performance and applied sport psychology consultant whose work primarily focuses on helping athletes, coaches and teams improve their performance and helping parents navigate their child’s athletic development. She has consulted with numerous athletes and teams of many sports, including swimming, golf, running, wrestling, tennis, field hockey, gymnastics and basketball. She has also conducted sport parent education sessions and youth leadership development sessions as well as coaching education workshops for novice to elite level coaches on topics such as goal setting, mental preparation, talent development, sport parenting, team building, coaching education, leadership and motivation. She has real life experience as a sport parent of two college and one high school athletes.
