Thank you for your interest in the TAC TITANS Swim Team! 

We are excited about the 2025-2026 season. Our outstanding age-group coaching staff is returning and will be lead by Head Coach Bruce Marchionda and Assistant Head Coach John Payne. 

IMPORTANT DATES 

  • Registration Opened for Returning Swimmers: Monday, June 30, 2025, 8:00AM EDT
  • Registration Opened for New Swimmers: Monday, July 7, 2025
  • Practice Start date for Challenge and Elite Tracks: Monday, August 25, 2025
  • Practice Start date for Development Track: Wednesday, September 3, 2025

2025-2026 REGISTRATION FEES

Registration fees are per swimmer, paid annually, and are non-refundable (waitlist included).

  • TITANS Challenge and Elite Tracks
    • Registration fee: $175.00
    • Registration fee includes:
      • 2 TITANS t-shirts
      • 2 TITANS swim caps
      • 1 TITANS Speedo training suit (only included if registered prior to Sept. 15, 2025)
         
  • TITANS Development Track
    • Registration fee: $125.00​
    • Registration fee includes:
      • 1 TITANS t-shirt
      • 1 TITANS swim cap
  • TITANS Masters Program (Season: December 1, 2025 - November 30, 2026)
    • Registration fee: $40.00
    • Registration fee includes:
      • 1 TITANS Masters t-shirt
      • 1 TITANS Masters swim cap
    • IMPORTANT: All Masters swimmers must maintain an active membership with U.S. Masters Swimming.

RETURNING TITANS SWIM TEAM MEMBERS - INSTRUCTIONS

  • Please register online for the group recommended by your swimmer's current coach
  • Click the Green "REGISTER NOW" button to begin this process
  • After completing the registration you will receive a confirmation email
  • All accounts will remain "pending" until mid-August -- you will NOT see 2025-2026 group information in your account
  • IMPORTANT: All TAC TITANS athletes must register and pay for USA Swimming membership directly with USA Swimming. Information to be sent out prior to the start of the 2025-2026 season.

NEW TITANS SWIM TEAM MEMBERS - INSTRUCTIONS

To become a TAC TITAN and have the best competitive year-round swimming experience in the Triangle, please follow the steps below:

(1) Before registering, ALL NEW SWIMMERS are REQUIRED to have a TRYOUT
      Contact Matt Mosher for a tryout HERE.

(2) Once your swimmer's TRYOUT IS COMPLETE, click the green "REGISTER NOW" button, then:

  • Complete all Account and Member information
  • Select the roster group recommended by the coach evaluating your swimmer > Add To Cart
  • If the group you try to select is FULL, the selection will be greyed out and there's no "Add to Cart" button
    • Scroll to the bottom and look for a WAITLIST group
      If you don't see one contact [email protected] to request help with getting on the correct waitlist
  • Pay the registration fee online by credit card
  • If your registration is successful you will receive a confirmation email
  • Your account will remain "pending" until mid-August when everyone will be activated for the new season
  • All TAC TITANS athletes must register and pay for USA Swimming membership directly with USA Swimming. Information to be sent out prior to the start of the season.

TITANS REGISTRATION FAQ

Q:  How do I determine what group to register for?

A:  If you are a NEW swimmer, a tryout is REQUIRED before registration. Please see the tryout link in the "New TITANS Swim Team Members" section above.

If you are a RETURNING swimmer, please register for the group recommended by your coach.

If you have not previously discussed group placement with a TITANS swim coach, please feel free to email us at any time to inquire about group placement. Group placement is based on an individual swimmer's experience, age, goals, commitment level, and needs. Please refer to our "Group Placement and Criteria" under the "Swim TITANS" tab.

 

Q:  When should I register for the TITANS?

A:  There are a limited number of spots available in each practice group.  We encourage each family to register as soon as possible. If your group is full when you go to register, please contact us if you don't see a waitlist. 

 

Q: If I'm on a waitlist, and I pay for registration, am I guaranteed a spot on the team?

A: No, not immediately.

 

Q:  What is the dues structures?

A:  Each practice group has a unique monthly fee. 

  • Challenge and Elite Track swimmers have an 11-month contract and are billed 11 months of the year - September through July.  
  • Development Track swimmers are billed 12 months of the year.
    • Development track swimmers may take a break (full months only) if TAC is notified in advance of the start of the month(s) desired. See our Financial Policy for details. Retroactive requests will NOT be granted.

Q:  Why is there a registration fee, what is it?

A: For all athletes registering with the TITANS, there is a per-swimmer, yearly, non-refundable, registration fee. The yearly registration period is September 1st through August 31st each year.  We charge a registration fee to cover administrative costs, team shirts, caps, and for Challege and Elite swimmers registering before Sept 15, a team suit.

 

Q: If we change our mind about joining, is the registration fee refundable?

A: No.

 

Q:  Are there discounts for families with multiple athletes?

A:  Yes. Families with multiple active athletes in the Challenge and Elite Tracks will receive a discount on the additional athlete’s fees. Second swimmer discount is 15% on the monthly group fees and discount is 20% for the third and all additional swimmers. Discounts apply to the swimmer’s paying the lesser amount each month. NOTE: Development Track swimmers are not eligible for multiple swimmer discounts due to the flexibility of the program.

 

Q: What is the Endowment Fund?

A: The TAC Board of Directors established an Endowment Fund (“Endowment”) to support the organization’s long-term mission, financial stability and sustainability. Since 2018, the Endowment has been funded through a percentage of revenue from all TAC program fees, annual family contributions from Challenge and Elite track swimming groups, and community donations. There has been one withdrawal from the Endowment, in 2022, to support the rebuilding of the Competition Pool, Stadium Seating and Program Pool dehumidification / HVAC units. This project totaled $2.4M.

 

 

Q. Is there a Volunteer Requirement (Service Credit Policy)?

Yes! The TAC TITANS rely on member families to facilitate TITANS meets in order to provide a positive experience for swimmers and spectators. As the leading nonprofit aquatic facility in North Carolina, we strive to keep our pricing competitive. In order to effectively balance competitive pricing and keep travel costs at a minimum for TITANS families, we regularly host home swim meets in our world-class facility. As a result, we need sufficient coverage at swim meets and team events by our TITANS member families. Please read the service credit policy in detail during registration.
